This very confiding bird (above) was found sitting on a couple of posts besides the road at Croft Pascoe on the Lizard in very late September 2009, and was quite happy for me to get quite close in the car. It eventually got spooked off by a lorry!!!

The pictures 01, 05 and 06 above were all taken some six years ago, and are of a captive bird, whereas 07 was taken in 2007 near Speech House. The buzzard vies with the kestrel for the title of commonest raptor in my opinion, as I see more and more of them, especially now I have moved to Cornwall.
The two pictures below were taken in January 2009 at Slimbridge, when this very obliging bird flew slowly past the hide.
