Fen Orchid

Fen Orchid is becoming increasingly scarce in the UK, and is now confined to a very few sites in Norfolk, where it grows

in a very small number of fens, and South Wales, where it can be found in damp dune slacks behind the coast. Very small,

and hard to find, once you get your eye in, they are easier to pick out.

These photographs were taken at Kenfig National Nature Reserve, to the East of Port Talbot, the only site in the

UK where people wishing to see this orchid are welcomed.
