Well, after a fruitless trip (washout thanks to the rain) in 2006, and a near repeat in 2007, I'm pleased to say I did manage, in between the fairly heavy showers, to see a fair number of this butterfly at Meathop Moss in Cumbria, and finally, in very windy conditions, managed a couple of record shots. I'd begun to wonder why I could never spot them roosting, but they do, in windy conditions anyway, get very low in the vegetation.
