This orchid, a close relative of the green winged, is only found in the UK on Jersey and Guernsey in the Channel Islands, although, a number of plants were naturalised at Wakehurst Place in West Sussex, which saved me quite a trip, but even in the second week of May I was nearly too late, as many had gone over. This specimen was the best of a few, still in flower, in amongst some very long grass, and quite hard to find.
