These lovely little waders have been very widespread in Cornwall this winter (2009/10) and pictures 03-04 were taken in the public viewing area car park at RNAS Culdrose, where unfortunately the puddle wasn't quite big enough to get the whole bird in the reflection. There were 6 birds here one late afternoon. 05 was taken from the causeway at Marazion, where the birds are happy to come close. The first picture was taken several years ago from one of the hides at Slimbridge.
