This lovely little bird was found at Greylake RSPB reserve in Somerset in autumn 2009, and gave good views, skulking amongst the reeds for many birdwatchers and photographers. On the day I went to see it, it showed after no more than five minutes, most obliging, and everbody who turned up in the 2.5 hours I was there managed to see the bird, even Mike Dilger from the BBC, who was there interviewing the manager of the WWT Crane Project, for transmission on the one show later this year.
