This delightful skipper has been found on a number of new sites in parts of Sussex over the last few years, and is found on chalk hillsides in the southern parts of England, where it flies from late July to early September. These photographs were taken on the transect at Butts Brow, outside Eastbourne, where in my time, from 1999 through 2002 the maximum daily count was exceeding 100 insects.
