Found in the southern part of the country, White Helleborine grows on well drained chalk or limestone, generally in woodland, and often under beech, where it can tolerate considerable shade. Look for it on the North and South Downs, Hampshire, Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire, the Chilterns and Cotswolds.
